Configure YAP for Inverse DVI Search with TeXEdit

  1. start YAP and goto "View/Options" in the YAP main menu.
  2. select the tab "Inverse DVI Search"
  3. click the button "New..." and enter in the popup-dialog
    • for the name: e.g., "TeXEdit"
    • for the program path, please select the path to TeXEdit.exe
    • for the program arguments: /dde=[goto("%f",%l)]

Configure TeXEdit for Acrobat X

Alternative 1
  1. download the updated auto_setup.xml into your TeXEdit installation path
  2. choose "File/Setup profiles ..." in the main menu
  3. in the dialog, click the button auto setup, or auto setup current profile, respectively

  1. choose "File/Setup profiles ..." in the main menu
  2. choose or create the pdf profile
  3. select the tab Commands and the command open:
    • command: please enter the full path to Acrobat X or Acrobat X Reader executable
    • select DDE
    • service: AcroviewA10 for Acrobat X, or AcroviewR10 for the Reader
    • topic: Control
    • dde-command: [DocOpen("%b.pdf")][FileOpen("%b.pdf")]
  4. select the tab Commands and the command close:
    • command: please enter the full path to Acrobat X or Acrobat X Reader executable
    • select DDE
    • service: AcroviewA10 for Acrobat X, or AcroviewR10 for the Reader
    • topic: Control
    • dde-command: [DocClose("%b.pdf")]
